Tallulah Love Bridal Collection 2011

In bridal talk, lingerie is the most precious detail. Yes, it's bigger than the wedding dress. Think about it: there you are, with your magnificent dress, all gorgeous for your public. But the day goes by, and night starts falling. And this is when the real magic starts happening: when the two new partners for life dive in the sea of pleasure.
If you are a bride-to-be, this article is just what you need to read. If you do, you'll be looking like a perky vintage goddess.
For this year's bridal collection, Tallulah Love went crazy with luxurious fabrics, delicate details and exciting colors. Once again, this designer managed to create the most charming underwear, this time for the most important night of a woman's life.

Vintagelacecorsetcream

Starting with this Blue Birds piece, this brand proves delicacy and subtle extravagance. If you like it, it's best to get it as fast as you can because the balconette bra features limited edition blue birds print.

And it's worth the effort. This bra tailors to your bust and makes it look amazing. Delicate ribbons add color accent and Chantilly lace adorns the back of the knickers. The stunning silk knickers are a real piece of jewelry, with meticulous vintage embroidery that will make it hard for your partner to keep his hands off.

For pink admirers, Tallulah Love created the Vintage Blush set. I simply love triangle bras, which this set features.
It is non-wired and recalls Antiquity days due to this soft gold ribbon trim that looks fantastic in blush pink. If you decide on this design, it means you're quite a flirty kind of girl.
The briefs will remind your partner how cheeky you actually are. Satin and chiffon make the perfect combination for a design this pretty.

VintageBlush1

Personally, I really like lavender, both the flower and its color. The Lavender Blue Dilly Dilly set is romantic and luxurious. What else would you call a combination of delicate sling detailing and Chantilly lace? The bra is uplift-enabled and looks amazing.

The centered ribbon and button is the perfect trigger for your partner to take it off. Chantilly lace is a statement of authenticity and is simply charming. Briefs are replaced with a sexy thong with different shades of silk and Chantilly lace. Divine, wouldn’t you say?

Show Some Love Brief entices you and your partner to, well, show some love! This circus-inspired striped brief is made of printed satin and exquisite pink ribbons, highlighted by lime shaded bows.

This piece is quite interesting. It is arousing in an environment-friendly kind of way. I like this combination of pleasure and nature. Acid lime green silk contrasts olive green shades, which makes the Chantilly lace look simply gorgeous.

A fuchsia accent rosebud marks the key parts: cleavage and front of the knickers. With Garden of Delights, Tallulah Love managed to braid decadence with refinement, which is more than enough for me to cast my vote.

This collection is inspiring and versatile. It's impossible to step inside this designer's world and not get what you want.

A Dreamy Homage to Erotic Innocence

MarliesDekkers_ElectricBilitis_6

Marlies Dekkers is having a helluva year, flush with creative side projects, an endless stream of celebrity nods and, most notably, a remarkable parade of new lingerie collections inspired by 1970s nostalgia.
The Dutch designer’s newest summer collection is called Electric Bilitis and, like her other 2011 lines, it’s meant to celebrate the independent, adventurous spirit that transformed women (and fashion) of the post-Woodstock generation.
For the record, this is Dekkers’ fourth collection of the year, following the Café Society and Hippie Trail lingerie lines and the Gypsettters swim line — all of them richly inspired by the politics, ideals and imagery of the 1970s.
Electric Bilitis continues that exploration — there’s even a range called Purple Beetle, inspired by those once-ubiquitous VW bugs — but with a notable, and interesting, difference. Among its other influences, this range pays homage to the sapphic-erotic imagery of iconic photographer and filmmaker David Hamilton.
Hamilton was a polarizing figure of the 1970s thanks to his fondness for soft-focus, soft-core imagery of very young girls in various states of sexual awakening and exploration. Highly erotic but never prurient, Hamilton’s work ventured where few photographers dared to go. He produced numerous photobooks and the legendary film Bilitis; to this day, his work has legions of admirers among art and erotica lovers, and just as many detractors among moralists and feminists.

MarliesDekkers_Magnum

The campaign imagery for Dekkers’ Electric BIlitis is a note-perfect copy of Hamilton’s style, and is meant to evoke the dream-like state of eternal innocence that Hamilton captured so perfectly. Dekkers’ promo film for the new collection will give you a sense of what that means. (Note: Some of the images below and on Dekkers’ site are, as you might imagine, NSFW.)
The new collection includes six new style ranges: the Hendrix-inspired Electric Ladyland, Purple Beetle, Wild Bouquet, Coming of Age, the bridal line Mrs. Jagger, and the sweet nightwear range Bilitis. The plum-colored Purple Beetle line already had a very public debut — Hailey Reinhart wore a Beetle bustier during her performance of Lady Gaga’s ‘You and I’ on American Idol last week.

As always, Dekkers’ newest collection doesn’t stray far from her signature multi-strap looks; what sets it apart from the rest of the MD catalogue is how that signature look is reinterpreted and reused to convey a vivid new set of impressions. The best example of this is the wonderful Wild Bouquet set, with its stunning poppy print based on the popular 1970s floral prints of designer Laura Ashley.
Altogether, Electric Bilitis is another admirable and memorable collection from a lingerie designer who consistently surprises us — and surpasses herself.
Finally, just when you think Marlies Dekkers is due for a break, she comes out with one more little bonbon … literally. The company announced this week it had produced a limited edition lingerie set (above) for Magnum, a Dutch ice cream maker. The cranberry-and-chocolate hued ensemble will be given to winners chosen in a Magnum promotion.
Yes, undies to eat ice cream in! Now we’ve seen it all!

Touché Lingerie from Colombia: Chic, Comfortable Styles for all Occasions

Touche_SpringSummer2011_9

One in a Series
Sexy and sophisticated Touché lingerie mixes feminine and preppy, vintage and seductive to come up with a style that seems to be indicative of what is coming out of Colombia at the moment.
As we’ve seen with the other Colombian lingerie lines we’ve profiled, the stereotype of bodacious, over-the-top and overtly sexy doesn’t really apply with these modern labels. Instead, brands like Touché and Ellipse are producing products that while sensual remain sophisticated, and while brightly hued and printed are always tasteful.
Born in Medellín, Colombia, Touché is a brand that includes many separate lines. From lingerie fashioned out of high quality and fashionable materials and comfortable and chic loungewear to a collection of activewear and, of course, swimsuits, Touché has you covered whatever the occasion.
Touché’s Summer 2011 lingerie collection is soft, feminine and elegantly minimal. Pieces range from a butter soft, sheer coral (called naranja) bra and underwear set to a bright orange floral print used on pyjama dresses, pants and t-shirts. The palette of the brand’s Spring/Summer lingerie boasts colors like seafoam and a light purple. Of course, both collections feature their share of sophisticated black and white pieces, too, because those are always in demand and in style.
Touché swimwear is heavy on the bikinis but quite covered up overall. There are halter styles, peacock prints, tie-dye coverups and plunging animal prints. One-pieces are made more interesting with side cut-outs and tie-up backs, while bikinis become fashion statements in floral and ikat prints. Have a mini me in your life? Touché also makes swimwear for little girls.

Eres Bathing Suits 2011

I like youthful beachwear. There, I said it! I enjoy bright colors and colorful details. I search for comfort and a fresh look in the same time. I am a fan of underwire, but only sometimes. I like it fun and sexy.
I like Eres bathing suits because they keep it simple and yet, they look fantastic. It’s a great perk for designers to combine minimalistic with glamorous and deliver awesome results. Eres did just that and let me tell you why they fit my needs so damn well.
The Les Essentiels theme is my first example. This piece is called Fugue Cavale and has graphic cutouts and quite a tropical vibe. The color got my eyes instantly. Rouge grenade, French for pomegranate red, makes your skin look simply fantastic. It’s vibrant and daring. The top has a removable neck strap, bust darts and a gripper tape at the back.

eres-fugue-cavali

Show Scarlett is just what it sounds like: a show. This daring top reveals the lower cleavage, highlighting the breasts. The metal clasp is the main attraction, that’s for sure. The low straight waist bikini offer a beautiful shape to your bottom. And the cyclone color is so acid.

eres-show-scarlett

The more exotic and feminine theme, Coco, offers two color lines and a duality of details: either faded and sensual or bright and vibrant. This Bandana Monoi comes in pomegranate red and seaweed colors. The cleavage and neck are adorned by seaweed palm with removable neck strap. Bikini has wide padded ties on the sides, which is something I’ve always liked.

eres-bandana-monoi

The Bandana Omaha piece keeps the appliqué palm and removable neck strap. Cyclone and black make the perfect color combination for this design. And the bikini has vague details that match the appliqué palm chromatically.

eres-bandana-omaha

The Taboo theme is an explosion of feminine details and tropical prints. The Hades Agave is made of a triangle bikini top with a wide drawstring. Of course, wide straps tie around the neck and secure the top. A small bow adds playfulness to this sexy bikini bottom.

eres-hades-agave

Following, the Plume theme is more intricate and punchy. The Quistiti Ibis bathing suit has a bandeau bikini top that you can wear without the neck strap. It’s sexier. A sophisticated detail draws attention on cleavage. The low waist bikini has a removable belt, adorned with Plumes.

eres-quistiti-ibis

This Perruche Canari is my favorite piece. I love triangle bikini tops, just like this one right here. This piece has multicolored details, strategically placed on this seaweed color. Straps are so thin and can be worn around the neck.

eres-perruche-canari

The Cache Cache theme is a reminder of the ‘50s and I don’t know about you, but I believe those years were a burst of femininity. The Amarre Corsaire is a powerful piece, with colors named fou rire, which means the fool’s laughter and sable rose, which is sandy pink. The wide halter neck strap is a strong detail that matches perfectly the low waist boy short.

eres-amarre-corsaire

The wide halter neck strap is also added to this Amarre Babord bathing suit. Only this suit keeps the wide straps on the sides of the bikini, which kind of completes this solid vibe.

eres-amarre-babord

The Frou Frou theme combines Parachute fabric with electric shades. The Glitter Boum comes in marabout and cyclone colors which fit the shirred neckline details. Full bikini briefs keep these details on the front. And may I add, it looks amazing.

Colombian Heat: Ellipse Lingerie Covers All the Bases

Ellipse_Nuit

One in a Series
Colombian women know a thing or two about how to steam up a boudoir — and now they're getting a chance to show the rest of us.
Ellipse Lingerie, the biggest-selling lingerie brand in South America, this year began a move into U.S. and European markets, and its unique blend of sensuous luxury and all-purpose functionality appears to be catching on. This is the kind of global warming we can all embrace!
Ellipse covers a lot of bases in its impressive catalogue. The Nuit collection leads the way with its unrivaled, ultra-feminine sex appeal, while the Flowers and Lovers line is their equally seductive bridal range.
In additon to their sexier, steamier options Ellipse also produces the Essentials line of lingerie basics, swim and loungewear collections, and the adorable Girly line, a bright and cheerful collection aimed at a younger market segment.
Ellipse has been producing lingerie since 1985, mixing Colombian aesthetics, and a very South American take on the purpose and look of underwear, and marrying it to quality European fabrics.
The couture-inspired Nuit collection is Ellipse's take on "glamour, sensuality, delicacy, finesse and eroticism." Indeed the looks are very much about fantasy trumping practicality. The line includes cut-out bras, thongs, sleepwear and corsets. There is a gorgeous set fashioned out of black-and-gold lace and a slightly shimmery nude look that is topped off with a diaphanous kimono secured with a silk ribbon. Muy caliente!
Flowers and Lovers is Ellipse's bridal collection, a white and nude mix of vintage slips and bras, lace thongs and underwear, and modern, sexy support garments like a shapely corset with a romantic sweetheart neckline.
For the woman who wants practical, functional lingerie that is still attractive Ellipse offers their Essentials — seamless and attractive pieces that come in a few solid colors. And for those who prefer their lingerie bright, fun and printed there is the Girly line that includes ribbed cotton racerback bras and sheerer sets, tanks and boyshorts in bright contrasting hues.
In addition to the lines above Ellipse also offers the Pyama Party collection of sleepwear that ranges from a woman's version of a man's button-down shirt to a flirty, floral babydoll in comfortable fabrics.
Hitting the beach? Sunshine, Ellipse's Spring 2011 swimwear collection, offers bright colors and vibrant prints inspired by India. Not surprisingly the line, which has a definite vintage vibe, consists of a ton of bikinis perfect for the Colombian sun, but also a few great one piece options as well as stylish cover-ups.
Currently Ellipse is working their way into the North American market with distribution points in a number of retail boutiques, including: Pink Slip, New York; FUK U, Los Angeles; J Girl, Westlake, CA; Hope Chest, Haverford, PA: Anastasia's, Scottsdale, AZ; and Lilac Sexy Lingerie, Ottawa.
